DescriptionA Prácheňsko, Písek or Strakonice kroj consisting of a skirt, apron, blouse, vest, and shawl. The skirt is brown with green and pink undertones. It is narrowly pleated at the waist. A burgundy ribbon covered with floral embroidery is applied just above its hem. The apron is made of white linen and is covered with cut work and white on white embroidery. Its hemline and sides are scalloped. An applied flounce extends across the bottom of the apron. It is covered with cut work and floral embroidery. The blouse is made of white linen and has a drawstring pocket, neckline, and waistline. Cut work and white on white embroidery lie on an overlay at its neckline and cuffs. White on white embroidery is also on the blouse front. The burgandy vest is covered with a multi-colored floral brocade. It is trimmed with red leather. Metallic cording laces up the grommets on the vest front. The back is adorned with a burgundy ribbon with multi-colored embroidery tied into a bow. This vest has a separate panel, or insert, that matches the vest. It is inserted behind the silver corded lacing. The final item in this donation is a shawl. It is made of a red and green rayon-moire blend and is covered with a floral brocade. A red and blue-toned green fringe trims all sides.On View
