DescriptionA Valašsko kroj consisting of a choice of two shirts, a pair of pants, belt, vest, socks, shoes, and a hat. Both shirts are white and have stitching around the cuffs and neckline, extending part way down the front. On one the stitching is in several colors while the other is only blue threading. That shirt is also decorated with a circular, silver pin. The pants are made of navy wool and decorated with light blue cording and red felt accents on its front opening. The cording trims the outer sides of each pantleg and extends across the pants back just under the waistline. The belt is made of brown leather that is studded with brass and chrome decorative studs. Intricate toolwork covers it. The vest is made of red wool and decorated with dark blue corded embellishments. Sixteen dark blue accents run down each side of its front opening and each of its pockets are trimmed with the cording. These accents are highlighted with gold buttons. There is also some cording near the bottom of the vest back. This kroj also includes a pair of socks and shoes. The socks are made of white wool and trimmed with red wool piping. The initials "R.V." are stitched inside each one. The shoes are made of brown leather, and are decorated with leather stitch work and lacing. A tall hat with a wide brim made of black felt provides the finishing touch to this kroj. It is banded with a yellow ribbon covered with multi-colored floral embroidery. A leather band affixed around its interior helps give it shape. A handmade, silver pin in a twelve-point star design was also donated with this kroj.
