DescriptionA white plate covered images in a variety of greys. The likeness of Anton J. Cermak lies in the center with 1933 and a cityscape in the background. Around the edge of the center are the words, "1873 Anton J. Cermak 1933" 'I'm glad it was me instead of you.' " The plate's rim alternates between different likenesses of Cermak throughout his life, each labeled with a year, and long sections decorated with flowering vines. At the top is a small vertical rectangle with an image, something akin to a postage stamp that reads, "1933 A century of progress". A horizontal rectangle containing a bible verse lies at its bottom that reads "Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends -John 15.13". This commemorates the death of Anton J. Cermak. He was killed during an assassination attempt on Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
