DescriptionBlack; pleated; black cotton twill ties; white lace around three sides; white, orange, yellow embroidery on three sides ---- ---- HISTORY: Donor's friend bought Kroj from Slovak man. Friend's mother wore it once for the Sokol celebration in Starj (?) Plzenec in 1948. When communists took over the country, it was forbidden to wear the Kroj. In 1980's donor was in Czechoslovakia and purchased the Kroj from her friend, whose mother had wished the Kroj to be taken to the USA
