DescriptionPart of a Tekov kroj, consisting of a headscarf, jacket, skirt, and apron. All of the pieces of this kroj are made of a dark green fabric with brown and tan floral brocade. The headscarf is a square shape with a large floral design embroidered in one corner. The embroidery is in the Detva style. A long dark green fringe finishes all sides of the scarf. Thick brown paper is sewn on the underside of the scarf to reinforce the embroidery. The other three pieces are virtaully covered with embroidered cording and beadwork in floral and other shapes. Lace, rick-rack, and lengths of machine embroidered ribbonaccompany these designs.On View
