DescriptionA winter kroj from Podluží, Moravia that includes a matching blouse and skirt, an apron, shawl, headscarf and two petticoats. The blouse and skirt are made from the same thick, wool that has a plaid pattern in greens and mauves with yellow lines. Black, floral lace runs down either side of the blouse's front and around its bottom edge. A short length of lace is also attached to the cuffs of its long sleeves. The skirt is decorated with only a band of twelve horizontal pleats located roughly five inches from the hemline. The apron is a dark green and black fabric covered with a floral pattern. There is metallic silver threading throughout. The kroj's headscarf is black and decorated with a floral print that runs around its sides roughly three inches from the edges. The flowers are pink and mauve with smaller flowers and leaves in brown, pale yellow and green. The heavy woolen shawl is plaid with matching fringe on all sides. The shawl's patten contains a variety of colors; grays, greens, golden yellow, blues and dark reds. The kroj's white petticoat is covered with a floral print arranged in vertical stripes. The designs are yellow and green. The only other embellishments on the petticoat are a band of eight horizontal pleats located roughly four inches from the hemline and yellow rick rack cording sewn around the hemline. The other petticoat is blue and white polkadotted with scalloped orange finish around its hemline. A band of nine horizontal pleats are located roughly four inches from the hemline.
