DescriptionA child's Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, collar, petticoat, skirt, apron, sash, and headwreath. The white linen blouse has navy floral embroidery at its cuffs. A narrow band of navy and white lace finishes them. A band of extra fabric is sewn around the blouse's bottom edge, possibly to accomodate a taller child. The vest is made of a reddish-orange fabric with black satin inserts that are lined with gold cording. Sequins are affixed within the cording. Sequins are also sewn along its sleeves, neck, and around its bottom edge. Five orange buttonsrun down its front. The white collar has navy and white lace around three of its four sides. This is echoed with navy and white floral embroidery. The white petticoat has a ruffle sewn around its bottom. The ruffle is finished with white lace. The reddish-orange and tan striped skirt has a gathered waist that is made of pinkish, green, and yellow ribbon. Each color ribbon has its own distinct floral embroidery (the pinkish ribbon - blue, green and white; green ribbon - pink, blue and white; yellow ribbon - pink, blue and green). A narrow band of lace decorated with sequins is affixed around the bottom edge of the waistband. Lengths iof the same three kinds of ribbon are affixed around the lower half of the skirt. The apron is black with a gathered waist. A band of floral embroidery in white, red, green, and purple covers its lower half. White bobbin lace is sewn aruond its hem. Its waistband is made of a pink ribbon covered with blue, green, and white floral embroidery. The sash is a length of yellow ribbon covered with green, yellow, orange, red, and blue floral embroidery. An additional piece of ribbon with floral embroidery in red, purple, yellow, and green threading has been sewn at one end to extend the sash, possibly to accomodate older/larger child. The kroj is topped with a headwreath covered with colorful artificial flowers. Eight ribbons hang from the elastic band at the back of the wreath. They are as follows: two blue ribbons with white, pink, and green floral embroidery; two green ribbons with pink, blue, and white floral embroidery; two yellow ribbons with pink, green, and blue floral embroidery; two pinkish ribbons with blue, green, and white floral embroidery.
