DescriptionA wedding kroj from Uherské Hradište, consisting of a blouse, vest, collar, petticoat, skirt, apron, sash, ribbons, wedding cap and head wreath. The blouse is made of tan burlap fabric and has white pleated sleeves. It has a simple circular collar with two hook and eye closures in front, and is gathered at the collar. A three inch band of cross-stitching in black, blue, white, red, yellow, and green is afixed on right side of the front opening with white lace on its right side. The sleeves have identical cross-stitching across the shoulders and long cuffs at the elbows. The remainder of the sleeves are in an accordion style. The vest is green with a silver floral brocade. Five inch bands of white fabric are at each side of the front opening. The bands are decorated with floral embroidery in green, light green, orange, red, pink, dark pink, yellow, and dark orange with pink, silver, and blue sequins. Silver lace is on one side of each band. Four white pyramid-shaped buttons are on the right side of the front opening with four red circles formed by braided strands are of the left side. The collar is made of long, white lace gathered to a band of cross-stitching the wraps around the wearer's neck. The stitching matches that of the vest. The petticoat is white and starched with bobbin lace around its hemiline. The skirt is black and heavily pleated with an embroidered floral waistband. The apron is green with a silver brocade and white lace around its hemline. It is gathered at the waist. The sash salmon with blue, yellow, white and green floral embroidery, and half inch bands of lace on either side. The other ribbons are similar, but with different color schemes.The wedding cap is covered with handpainted floral patterned ribbons and artificial flowers. Silver lace frames the face. The lace is bordered with blue and pink sequins. The floral wreath is fashioned out of wire wrapped in green and yellow fabric, and is covered with artificial flowers of blue, pink, white and yellow. Silver leaves are scattered throughout, as well as small balls of blue, pink, silver with pink stripes, and tiny balls of green, orange, yellow, blue, pink and silver. There are also bits of greenery.
