DescriptionA Čičmany kroj consisting of a blouse, skirt, apron, and headscarf. The blouse is white with long sleeves. Its bodice is pleated and collar is heavily embroidered in light green, bright dark blue, orange, yellow, and dark red. Silver metallic lace trims the collar's bottom edge. Multi-colored geometric embroidery lies at each shoulder and around each cuff. The white skirt has tiny pleats from top to bottom on its back side. The back side of its waistband is decorated with a wide embroidered band of geometric designs in dark red, orange, bright dark blue, yellow, white, and light gree. Its front side is not pleated or embellished in any way. The white apron is nearly covered with multi-colored embroidery. The embroidery is split horizontally by a metallic gold ribbon with purple, green, and blue embroidered accents. Its hem and sides are trimmed with multi-colored lace. The apron is gathered at the waist. Its wiastband is wide and covered with geometric designs embroidered in dark red, orange, bright dark blue, yellow, and light green. Woven white and red ties lie on either side of the waistband. The headscarf is white with two lengths of embroidery along one side. The embroidery is stitched in geometric designs and accented with some cut work. The threading use is bringhtly colored in yellow, dark green, orange, dark blue, and purple. White and orange bobbin lace runs along the edge of the embroidery.
