DescriptionA kroj from Moravia that includes a blouse, vest, petticoat, skirt, apron, headscarf and boots. The blouse is white with long, puffed sleeves that are heavily starched. Lengths of identical embroidery lie around the cuffs, shoulders and collar, and part way down its front. White bobbin lace is coupled with it in every location, save the shoulders. The embroidery is stitched in solid red with black geometric designs. The light blue vest is decorated with a floral brocade. White machine embroidered ribbon and wide strings of silver sequins adoran its front side. The ribbon's embroidery is in red, dark blue, golden yellow, and sea green threading. The ribbon lengths and neckline are lined with sequins. The kroj's white skirt is heavily pleated and starched. Its waistband is decorated with red geometric embroidery. Its light blue apron is covered with a floral brocade and matches the vest. Beneath these is a plain, white petticoat with a gathered waist. Accenting the kroj is a white, machine embroidered sash that is tied into a bow. The embroidery is in red, dark blue, golden yellow and green threading. Silver sequins and floral shapes made from white and silver beads run across its ends. Finally, the kroj's red headscarf has a floral and geometric print around its edges. A band of geometric designs runs around top of head when scarf is folded into shape. The print is in dusty blue, blue-green, white, black and yellow. The perfect addition to this kroj is a pair of white, leather knee boots with two inch heels. Each boot's outer side is covered with colorful floral embroidery in mauve, pink, orange, red, yellow, blue and green threading. A zipper runs up its inner side.
