DescriptionA Vazec kroj that consists of a jacket, skirt, apron and kerchief. The dark blue jacket is covered with a geometric print in light blue and white. Red edging runs around its bottom, up the right side of the front and half of left the side. Red and orange edging runs across each shoulder and lies at the top of both sleeves. The front of the jacket is decorated with four horizontal lines of stitching, mirrored on either side. Each line is a different color with one at the top being yellow, then green, white and red. The lines are evenly spaced from top to bottom with the lines on the left side sporting a gold button while the right ones are button holes. There is sort of ruffle along the bottom of the jacket's back side. The skirt is also dark blue, but is covered with royal blue and off-white floral and geometric print. Most of the skirt is pleated, however, the front is not. It is made of an off-white with brightly colored embroidered lines running across its bottom half. A strip of dark fabric with a gold print runs across its bottom. The skirt's waistband is made of a floral print. The kroj's black apron has five pleats in its center. A band of black bobbin lace runs across the top of the lower half, with additional black fabric sewn beneath. The lace band is accented with brightly colored yarn stitched in geometric patterns. A strip of muslin covered with brightly colored floral and geometric embroidery is sewn on beneath the black lace. A braided and woven fringe runs across the apron's hemline. It is finished with woven ties that are decorated with hot pink, yellow and dark blue designs. Finally, a dark red kerchief covered with an almost paisley print in pale orange, red and white finishes the kroj.On View
