DescriptionAn apron made of brown velvet and heavily decorated with cut fish scales arranged in floral designs along its edges. A band of scale designs stretches across the apron horizontally, roughly two inches up from the bottom border. Two narrow bands extend upwards from it, one on either side of the apron. Glass and gold-colored seed beads, and small pieces of blue, red, orange, green, beige, and maroon silk fabric accent the scales. Tacked carriage pleats of brown velvet are around the bottom and sides of the apron, forming a finishing border. The apron was made as part of a Bohemian kroj.Credit LineDonated in memory of John Vittengle
