DescriptionA Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, skirt, apron, and collar. The white cotton blouse has black floral embroidery at its neck, down its front, and at its cuffs. Its elbow-length sleeves are puffed. The vest is in red silk with a floral brocade. Black brocade fabric is inset on its front, back, and sides. These areas are bordered with metallic cording. Five silver and gold buttons run down the vest front. Three embroidered circles decorate the back of the vest. The red-orange skirt is covered with vertical stripes. Most of the stripes are thin yellow or thin white, but wider white stripes with red embroidered flowers are also a part of the pattern. The skirt's waistband is white with floral embroidery in red threading, and is accented with blue and red sequins around its bottom edge. The apron is in red cotton covered with a yellow and blue floral print. Its hemline is trimmed with white bobbin lace that is accented with some orange and red threading. The lower half of the apron is covered with floral and geometric embroidery in white threading. A band of white stitching runs down the center of the apron. The kroj is finished with a rectangular collar in white cotton that is nearly covered with black floral embroidery. White and black bobbin lace finishes three of its sides.
