DescriptionA girl's Bánov kroj consisting of two petticoats, a skirt, three aprons, a belt, blouse, vest, collar. The petticoats are both pleated and starched with a hem trimmed in cut work and embroidered lace. The tightly pleated skirt is made of black cotton. A short length of white ribbon covered with floral embroidery in red, dark blue, and green is at the waistband. The bottom of the waistband is trimmed with multi-colored embroidery sewn in rows of straight stitching and rick rack. Two of the three aprons are very similar. One is a white on white brocade apron with a wide band of woven silver sequins affixed a few inches above its hemline, as well as up each of its side. A length of floral bobbin lace trims its sides. It has a fairly wide waistband that is trimmed narrow, white ribbon that is accented with small pink, yellow, and blue flowers. The other is a hot pink apron covered with a white, silver, and dark mauve brocade. A wide band of woven silver sequins is affixed a efw inches above its hemline, as well as on each of its sides. Lengths of white floral lace trim its sides. Its waistband is white covered with light pink floral embroidery. The third apron is to be worn over one of the other aprons or, possibly, over the skirt as a sash. It is has a short waistband and four narrow panels of white fabric hanging beneath. The two in the center are longer than the two outer panels. Each panel is covered with colorful floral embroidery in red, dark red, pink, purple, lavender, blue, green, and light green. Each one is accented with small silver sequins and clear beads. The panels are all trimmed with looped white cording accented with silver sequins. The belt is white and covered with floral embroidery in red, dark blue, and green threading. Its bottom edge is trimmed with looped white cording accented with silver sequins. The blouse is made of white cotton and has pleated, elbow-length sleeves. Black, yellow, and white geometric embroidery lies at its shoulders. Lengths of white ribbon covered with floral embroidery in dark red, dark blue, and green run down its front. Its cuffs are trimmed with white bobbin lace, white ribbon, and silver sequins. The ribbon is covered with floral embroidery in dark red, dark blue, and green threading. A band of white ribbon with red floral embroidery trims the cuff tops. The blue vest is covered with a white brocade. Its bottom edge, sleeves, and neckline are trimmed with looped white cording and silver sequins. The same trim is on the left side of the front opening. The collar is comprised of a length of fabric covered with black, yellow, and white geometric embroidery trimmed with pleated, white bobbin lace.
