DescriptionA framed painting of two women by Josef Dubiel von LeRach. The older of the two women is nude and sits in a chair facing away from the younger woman, who is on one knee and wears revealing lingerie. The ESLK by the signature stands for ENTARTETE SCHLESIEN LERACH KUNST or ENTARTETE KUNST, which was a term used by the Nazis in reference to most modern art. Works of art that belonged in this group were banned as "Judeo-Bolshevik", or non-German, in nature and perverse. The artists of these works were prohibited from further creative activity.
