DescriptionA black case that carries a portable communion set. It has several metal corners and clasps. The central clasp, which locks with a key, is its largest. The handle attaches on either side of it. White lettering and a label appear on one of its two largest sides. The lettering reads "Chaplain Z.F. Pauk 0-557525" and the label reads "621-9th AVE., S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa". The case has a red velvet interior with several comparments that hold a silver cross, a small tin with a lid and removeable dish, a small glass bottle, a white cloth, a silver tray holding 22 small glasses, and a velvet covered square of wood. The dish in the tin is a half-circle in shape. A cross is engraved on its lid. Red embroidery in the corner of the cloth reads "Psalms". There is a cross in the center of the tray. The silver cross itself sits on a circular base. The bottle has a black lid and measures up to 80 cc. Also within the case is a certificate issued from the Army and Navy of the United States in recognition of the patriotic sacrifices of Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church Cedar Rapids, Iowa in giving the services of Zdenek F. Pauk that he might serve God and Country as a Chaplain in the armed forces of the United States. It is dated January 10, 1945 and signed by the Chief of Chaplains in the US Army.
