DescriptionA child's Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, collar, petticoat, skirt, apron, and sash. The blouse is white and has short, puffed sleeves. Black embroidery decorates the cuffs in simple geometric designs. They are trimmed with black bobbin lace. The blue brocade vest is decorated with red trim across its bottom, around its arms and neck, and down its front. Royal blue brocade inserts cover the front and back sides of the vest. Gold metallic cording and sequins outline the inserts. Lengths of white twill tape acts as shoulder straps. The white collar is nearly covered with black floral embroidery. Narrow, black bobbin lace trims three of its four edges. The petticoat is white with a lightly gathered waist and bobbin lace around its hem. The red skirt is decorated with two rows of yellow floral embroidery sewn around its diameter. It is gathered a the waist. The apron is black and has a slightly gathered waist. A length of white bobbin lace is sewn across its hem. Floral embroidery in pink, red, and green is stitched just above the lace. The sash is the finishing touch to this kroj. It is white and covered with floral embroidery in dark blue, yellow, orange, salmon, dark blue, green, purple, and light green.
