DescriptionA Polomka kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, skirt, apron, and cap. The blouse has long sleeves and is made of heavy, white linen or cotton. Colorful embroidery lies at its neckline, shoulders, and cuffs. The cuffs are also trimmed with a red crocheted lace. The vest is red with a floral print. It is trimmed with machine-made, white lace-ribbon. The dark blue skirt is covered with a print of tiny, white flowers. Its waistband is bright red and the skirt is tightly pleated. There is a panel of red fabric on the skirt's front that is covered by the kroj's apron. Double rows of red stitching both decorate the skirt's bottom edge and finish its hem. The apron is made of heavy, white cotton or linen with rows of red and black embroidery woven in. Black fabric with a scalloped edge finished in red threading is attached to its hem. The fabric is decorated with floral embroidery in red, blue, maroon, yellow, green, and orange. The kroj is finished with a triangular cap made of heavy, white linen or cotton. Most of the cap is covered with multi-colored geometric embroidery. The face is framed with embroidery and a length of white lace. When worn, the cap forms a stiff peak on the top of the wearer's head.On View
