DescriptionA child's Trnava kroj consisting of a vest, skirt, apron, sash, and headband. The green vest is covered with multi-colored floral embroidery. Four black yarn frogs on eith side of the front for closure. The pleated skirt is burgundy wool with a red cotton front. The shiny black apron has colorful floral embroidery across its bottom and on each side. The edges are scalloped and finished with orange cutwork and embroidery. The narrow green sash is covered with floral embroidery. Red hearts and blue leaves complete the pattern. The
headband is made of white silk ribbon with orange embroidered flowers and sequins. The blouse pictured with this kroj is from Piešt’any, Slovakia. It is made of white cotton and has a drawstring a few inches up from the waist. The neckline is also gathered. Cut work and yellow-orange embroidery lies on its sleeves and part way down its front.The cuffs are trimmed with white bobbin lace.On View
