DescriptionA Myjava kroj that includes a blouse and vest, skirt and apron, a collar, sash and cap. The kroj's sheer white blouse has puffed elbow-length sleeves that have delicate white bobbin lace cuffs. It has a gathered collar and the cuffs are gathered with drawstrings. Its black vest has a floral brocade and six large hook and eye clasps down its front. Each clasp is silver and in an elaborate floral design. The heavy, white skirt is heavily pleated all the way around its waistband. The waistband is covered with geometric embroidery in navy blue threading. Over it, is a black apron with a pronounced and textured floral brocade. It has a matching waistband. A white lace collar with a white band around its top that is covered with repeating floral designs in metallic gold threading adds to the plain neckline of the blouse. A black geometric design lies in the center of each grouping of gold stitching. The kroj has a plain, black satin sash and a white netted cap with wide, white bobbin lace around the face. A series of small flowers are stitched in white thread throughout the netted portion. A drawstring and loops run around its bottom edge.On View
