DescriptionA Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, collar, skirt, apron, and cap. The blouse is white and has puffed sleeves with cuffs that are made entirely of floral bobbin lace in turquoise, pink, yellow, and blue. The collar is made of solid fabric and covered with off-white lace. The lace itself is more or less covered with floral embroidery and cut work. Three of its four sides are trimmed with off-white bobbin lace in floral designs with colored centers. The skirt is red and is decorated with evenly spaced floral embroidery in yellow and white threading. Its waistband is made from pink ribbon embroidered with an orange, purple, green, and silver floral pattern. The skirt is gathered at the waist. The apron is black, has a gathered waist, and pink ribbon ties. Its lower half is covered with multi-colored embroidery. A line of white embroidery runs down its center and finishes its sides. Its hem is trimmed with white bobbin lace that has colored accents. The kroj is finished with a cap covered with off-white lace. A red/dark pink lining is beneath the lace and shows through. Most of the lace on the cap is decorated with floral embroidery, cut work, and beadwork. Off-white bobbin lace in floral designs with colored centers frames the face.On View
