DescriptionA Ratíškovice kroj containing seven pieces - a blouse, vest, collar, skirt, apron, cap, and sash. The blouse is made of white cottn and has heavily decorated cuffs. Floral cut work and black embroidery cover each cuff. They are also lined with pink fabric that peeks through the cut work. Each cuff is finished with black lace, and begun with white and black embroidered ribbon ties. The vest is made of orange-red silk with blue brocade inserts. Its back is decorated with gold sequins and metallic trim, as well as three round orange and gold shapes. Six gold and white floral buttons, and gold metallic trim extend down its front. The white collar is covered with cut work and black embroidery. It is lined with pink, blue, and green fabric, all of which peek through the cut work. Black and white scalloped lace finishes three of its four sides. The pleated skirt is in red wool decorated with three horizontal rows of embroidered flowers. Its waistband is covered with red embroidery, its bottom edge trimmed with silver metallic cording. The bottom of the dark blue apron is lined with off-white bobbin lace that is accented with red and green threading. The apron's lower half is covered withcolorful floral embroidery. The cap is white and nearly covered with dark red embroidered flowers. The face is framed with white lace woven with a narrow pink ribbon, and sequins. The initials "MS" are embroidered at its top and a long pink ribbon hangs down from its back. The kroj is finished with an off-white sash covered with pink, blue, and green floral designs. Its edges have been cut with pinking shears.
