DescriptionA Slovak kroj consisting of a blouse, skirt and apron. The short blouse is tightly pleated and has puffed sleeves. Its neckline and cuffs are covered with multi-colored geometric embroidery. Cream-colored bobbin lace with woven in orange, yellow and maroon accents hang beneath the embroidery. A wide section of geometric embroidery covers each shoulder and spills down onto the sleeve. Two braided yellow and maroon ties lie at the neck. Its cream-colored skirt has multi-colored geometric embroidery around its waistline. The threading used in these designs is dark maroon, dark blue, green, bright orange and yellow. The skirt is tightly pleated around the back and sides, but is flat in the front. The cream-colored apron is covered with multi-colored geometric embroidery. A wide band of bobbin lace decorated with embroidery runs across its center. Wide, scalloped bobbin lace finishes all of its edges. The lace on its left side and bottom have red and yellow accents woven in while the right side has dark maroon and yellow.
