DescriptionA child's Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, collar, two petticoats, skirt, apron, sash, headwreath, and handkerchief. The blouse is white with elbow-length sleeves, and black floral embroidery and lace is on each cuff. The red satin(?) vest has off-white foux fur inserts. Each insert is decorated with rows of silver sequins and white cording. Four silver-colored buttons run down its front. The collar is made of white cotton and has black lace on three of its four sides. It is nearly covered with black embroidery and cut work. Fabric in hot pink, green, yellow, and red shows through the work.The kroj has two plain white petticoats with gathered waistbands and white lace around the hems. The red skirt has two rows of evenly spaced floral embroidery in white, yellow, and green threading. The waistband is white with white floral embroidery. A row of silver sequins runs around the bottom of the waistband. White cording winds around the sequins. The black apron has floral embroidery over much of its lower half. The embroidery is in pink, blue, light blue, dark blue, green, red, dark green, yellow, and orange threading. White bobbin lace trims it bottom edge. The bright yellow sash is covered with machine embroidered floral embroidery in dark blue, red, purple, green, and white threading. The headwreath is made of synthetic daisies, roses, pansies, and mums in pink, white, yellow, red, and dark blue. There are green leaves throughout and ribbons hang down from its back. The kroj is finished with a handkerchief and boots. The handkerchief is light yellow and has a small floral arrangement embroidered in one corner. The arrangement includes three roses; pink, white and red with blueish-green stems and leaves.The ankle boot are black leather with black laces.On View
