DescriptionA kroj from Slovakia that includes a blouse, skirt, apron and kerchief. The off-white, woven blouse has long sleeves covered with floral embroidery in gold, pink, blue, orange, and black threading from top to bottom. The design is echoed around each gathered cuff and is on the square-shaped collar that hangs from the neckline onto the back of the blouse.
The plain black skirt is gathered at the waist and is mostly covered by the white apron. The apron is covered with small floral prints in blue and dark red. Its waistband is blue with red, white and dark blue stripes in its center. An off-white kerchief with floral embroidery in gold, pink, light blue, brick red, lavender and green threading covering its headband finishes off this kroj. In addition to the floral embroidery, a large section of multi-colored stitching in grated patterns lies directly behind the headband. Two wide ties are tied at the nape of the wearer's neck.On View
