DescriptionA kroj from Podluží, Moravia that includes a matching blouse and skirt, an apron, collar, bow, headscarf, two petticoats and a pair of boots. The blouse and skirt are made from a plain, grey fabric. Black, floral lace runs down either side of the blouse's front and around its bottom edge. A short length of lace is also attached to the cuffs of its long sleeves. The skirt is decorated with a band of twelve horizontal pleats located roughly four inches from its hemline. Its apron is white with scalloped lace on its hemline and sides. A row of white on white floral embroidery, accented with cut work, runs across its bottom. The remainder of the apron is decorated with four bands of horizontal pleats, each one containing twelve pleats. The kroj has a white collar with lace around three of its four sides and a small, white bow with two long tails, both to be worn at the neck. The ends of the tails are painted with gold enamel and accented with sequins. The kroj is finished with a cream-colored headscarf decorated with a row of painted flowers on two of its four sides. The floral designs are pink, white, blue, yellow and green. Two petticoats are also part of this kroj, as well as a pair of black, leather knee boots. There is red paint around the edge of the soles and each boot has a two inch heel. The lower half of both boots are in an accordion style.On View
