DescriptionA Kyjov kroj consisting of a blouse, vest, collar, skirt, apron, and cap. The white cotton blouse has cut work and black floral embroidery at the cuffs. Fuschia fabric lines cuffs and peeks through the cutwork. The cuffs are edged with black bobbin lace. The vest is in a red-orange grosgrain fabric with blue brocade inserts. The inserts are lined with sequins and cording. Floral embroidery also decorates the front of the vest. The collar is made of white cotton with fuschia, royal blue, and green fabric affixed on its underside. The collar is nearly covered with cut work and black floral embroidery. The different colored fabric show through the cut work. Three of the collar's four sides are finished with black and white bobbin lace. The skirt is in a red-orange fabric that is covered with evenly spaced floral embroidery in yellow, white, and green. Its waistband is white with red floral embroidery, its bottom edge lined with blue trim accented by silver sequins. The apron is in a waxed, navy blue cotton with a vertical batick pattern. The apron is nearly covered with multi-colored floral embroidery. Its hemline is trimmed with ecru bobbin lace that has green and red threading incorporated into its design. The finishing touch to this kroj is the white silk brocade cap. The entire front half of the cap is heavily beaded with the face framed in white lace accented with sequins. The beadwork is largely in floral designs. A long, white machine embroidered ribbon hangs down from the back of the cap. The embroidery is in dark red, dark purple, and a grey-blue-green color.
