DescriptionA Uherský Ostroh kroj consisting of blouse, vest, collar, skirt, and apron. The white linen or cotton blouse has pleated sleeves that are stiffened with an inner lining of heavy, brown paper or thin cardboard. The cuffs are decorated with cut work lace. Orange and black embroidered sections are affixed at the shoulders, down the front, and above each cuffs. The vest of magenta velvet has a heavily embroidered cream-colored collar. The floral embroidery is in various shades of pink and mauve, gold, and geren. Beads and sequins accent the embroidery and the entire collar is outlined with metallic silver lace. Three orange puffs are affixed to three sections of orange tambour embroidery on the vest's back. The lace collar with scalloped edges and a band at its top embroidered in orange and black is stiffly starched. The polished cotton skirt is in black and heavily pleated. It has an embroidered waistband with silver metallic trim. Finally, the kroj's red apron with a brocade of large gold and white flowers completes the look. Its sides and hemline are trimmed with the same stiff, white lace as the collar.
