DescriptionA Dobrá Niva kroj consisting of a blouse, belt, vest, rubac, skirt, and apron. The blouse is very short and made of white cotton. It has short sleeves that are gathered, along with the neckline. The neckline is trimmed with a thin embroidered pattern in red and black threading. The cuffs are quite long and fitted. Each is tightly gathered and decorated with bands of floral embroidery in black, dark green, navy, purple, white, and green. The wide, woven belt in black with white and red vertical lines incorporated into its design is worn beneath the blouse and skirt/apron. The black satin vest has six black buttons running down its front. Black inserts covered with a dark purple floral brocade decorate the front and back. The inserts are outlined with green sequin cording, purple rick rack ribbon and blue sequin cording. The green cording also runs up and over each shoulder strap. Rather than petticoats, this kroj includes a rubac, which is kind of a woven slip. The rubac is white and has a gathered waist with a dark blue embroidered waistband. The black, satin skirt has a wide waistband decorated with rows of geometric stitching in purple, navy, and yellow on its lower half. A series of ribbons and stitching decorate the skirt's lower half. Two rows of geometric stitching in purple, dark blue, and yellow are at and just above the hem. Two blue ribbons with a row of floral cross-stitching in between are just above the geometric stitching. The hem is trimmed with black rick rack. The black, satin apron that is pleated from the waist. Its waistband is outlined with twisted purple cording. A wide band of floral embroidery in maroon, pink, purple, white, navy, and dark green lies beneath it. Black embroidered lace accented with bursts of colorful stitching trims the apron's hem, as well as each side. The lace is echoed by two bands of green sequin cording with a row of pre-made floral embroidery affixed in between.On View
