DescriptionA kroj from Tábor, consisting of a blouse, vest, skirt, apron, petticoat and underskirt, shawl, sash, stockings and cap. Its blouse is plain, white with large puffed sleeves. Delicate white lace lies at both cuffs and around the neckline. The black vest has adjustable straps, a series of loops and two hook and eye closures on each one. Lines of grommets that are laced together run up the front and back. Black ribbon is on the front and wound, purple cording for the back. Metallic silver lace with lies sequins around neckline on the front of the vest, as well as where pockets would be and across a piece of fabric that extends from one side of the front to the other. Mirroring geometric designs made of silver sequins and embroidery lie on either side of the front. Lengths of the same silver lace traverse the back with golden yellow stitching and silver sequins covering most of its surface. Its long white skirt and apron are two thirds covered with cutwork and white embroidery in floral and geometric designs. Their hemlines and the sides of the apron are a scalloped lace made of cutwork and embroidery.The kroj has a long pink underskirt and cream-colored petticoat with pink lace around its hemline. Neither is original to the kroj. The shawl is white lace and triangular in shape. Its long side is plain while the other two are scalloped and decorated with white embroidery and cutwork in floral and geometric designs. The kroj also includes a white handkerchief with white lace around its sides and a floral design in one corner that is made of white embroidery and cutwork. Its is in two pieces. Both are hot pink and machine embroidered with the floral designs stitched with dark purple, rose and dark mauve, royal blue, white and light green threading. One piece is the belt and the other is the bow. The final accessories are a pair of white crocheted or bobbin lace stockings and a dark pink cap covered with gold sequins and metallic gold lace arranged in floral designs. Cream-colored bobbin lace and golden yellow ribbon lie around the face. A large white bow decorated with cutwork and white embroidery is affixed to its back side. Matching golden yellow ribbon is tied into a bow in its center.
