DescriptionA Moravian kroj that consists of two blouses, a vest and collar, petticoat, skirt, apron, sash and cap. The outerer blouse is white with large, puffed sleeves. It has long cuffs covered with black floral embroidery. Black lace runs around their ends with black and white floral ribbon around the tops. There is black floral embroidery around the blouse's collar and on its placket. The inner blouse is similar, has only narrow lace at the cuffs. The black vest has wide, red ribbons around its collar, sleeves and bottom edge. Silver lace and gold cording outline the sections of black fabric throughout the front and back of the vest. Red flowers and green leaves are embroidered on the two rectangular inserts on either side of the vest's front opening. Lines of silver sequins run along the tops and sides of these inserts. There are six silver buttons on the left side. Pink, red, blue and green floral embroidery lies on the back of the vest, along with three circles of red fabric that are decorated with silver lace and sequins. They are outlined with gold cording. There is a rectangular collar made of white cotton that is more or less covered with floral embroidery and cutwork that shows through to the pink fabric beneath. Black lace runs around three of its four sides. The kroj has a simple white petticoat with lace around the hemline. It has a red and white striped skirt. The white stripes have an alternating pattern of diagonal red lines and small, red flowers. The waistband is white and covered with red embroidery. The skirt is gathered at the waist. Its black velvet apron has two horizontal rows of floral embroidery around its lower half. There is a white ribbon with floral embroidery in between the two rows. White lace runs around its hemline. The kroj has a white sash covered with machine embroidery in red, blue, yellow and green floral designs. Finally, there is a white cap with a few darts on its top. There is black machine embroidered floral ribbon around its face. Silver lace lines the front and back of the ribbon. The ends of the ribbon are also lined with blue and pink floral cording.
