DescriptionA Moravian kroj consisting of a blouse, vest and collar, skirt, two aprons and a sash. The blouse is white with tightly pleated accordion sleeves and long lace cuffs. There is a horizontal band of floral cross-stitching at each shoulder and just above each of the cuffs. Identical stitching extends down from the collar and all of the stitching is is black, burnt orange, blue, yellow and light green. Its dark green velvet vest has white machine embroidered ribbon down its front and around its neck. The outer edge is finished with silver sequin cording. There are four mauve-colored buttons at the bottom of its left side. Three large, teardrop-shaped blocks of tambour stiching in bright orange threading decorate the back of the vest. Each one has a matching pompom across its bottom edge. Its collar is covered with the same floral cross-stitchingas the blouse. There is long, white lace across its bottom edge and on each side. The kroj has a tightly pleated, black skirt, and light green and bright yellow-green brocade apron. White lace runs its hemline and up each side. The second apron is black and formed by two rectangular panels of fabric that are loosely sewn together. Each one is covered with purple, light purple, yellow and green floral embroidery. The bottom and sides of both panels are lined with silver lace and accented with seqiuns. Finally, the kroj has a white sash covered with machine embroidery in red, blue, yellow and green floral designs.
