DescriptionA Slovak kroj that consists of a blouse, skirt, apron, petticoat and headscarf. The blouse is white with a gathered collar and short, puffed sleeves that have white embroidered cuffs. Delicate floral embroidery is stitched in red threading on both sleeves and beneath the collar. The collar and cuffs tie closed with twill ties. Its red skirt is covered with a white floral print. It is not pleated, but is a very full skirt.. One large, gold button and loop are affixed at the waist for closure. Similarly, its red apron is covered with a floral print in white, blue and green. It has a light blue waistline and edging. Likewise, there is a light blue ruffle across its hemline, along with a narrow band of white bobbin lace. A wide band of white bobbin lace runs across the top of the ruffle. A wide, rectangular pocket lies in the center of the apron. It mirrors rest of the apron, except for a moss geen button on each of the bottom corners. The apron's ties are made of the red print fabric. The plain white petticoat has a gathered waistline and white bobbin lace around its hemline. Finally, the red headscarf is covered with a white floral print. It is triangular in shape.On View
