DescriptionPart of a woman's kroj, a black jumper with a pleated skirt. Nine lines of embroidery are stitched around the bottom of the skirt, roughly four and a half inches from its hemline. The top, center, and bottom lines are wavy. A group of three straight lines, two red and one green, lies above and beneath the center line. Bright orange cording is sewn to the front of the bodice in decorative geometric designs. The cording is accented with blue, white, and yellow embroidery. The cording and embroidery extend up and around the inner side of the straps. A small rectangle outlined in green is embroidered at the tops of both sides of the front. Nine pearl buttons run down the left side of the front opening, with five buttons along the right side. Orange rick rack runs around the neckline and down either side of the front opening. Half circles of cording and embroidery are sewn on either side of the bodice's back side.Credit LineGift of Eileen and the late Josef Mandát of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada
