DescriptionPart of a Moravany kroj, a white blouse with a high collar in light blue satin and white lace. A rectangular section of cut work, and white and blue embroidery begins at the neck and extends a third of the way down the blouse. Its sleeves are large, puffed, and nearly covered white, blue, and green embroidery accented with cut work. Matching bobbin lace finishes the cuffs. Bands of white fabric and satin have been added to the bottom of the blouse as a means of lengthening it. This was a common practice to extend the life of a garment as its wearer grew in girth.On View
